Born in Scranton, PA, William Lindsay Jr. was a resident of Irwin, PA from 1959 to 1983 and then in Hopkinton until 2007.  He was a member and chairman of the Hopkinton Board of Health and his interests included the Hopkinton Chamber of Commerce and the Hopkinton Historical Society.

 

During World War II, Lindsay was in the U.S. Army Signal Corps from 1943-1946.  He participated in the invasion of Okinawa and the Occupation of South Korea.  He was discharged as a Technical Sergeant.
